To the Parents, Students, Administrations and Faculties of Catholic Schools in East Baton Rouge Parish,
You are to be commended your patience during the recent bus transportation matter! The Diocese of Baton Rouge is deeply appreciative of the persistence and concern you showed for our students by choosing to remain open when many bus routes were not serviced several days ago. The hardships placed on you and your families have not gone unnoticed. Please know that diocesan officials have reiterated the request to be privy to future transportation and school start plans that are developed and presented to the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board. Our leadership has been assured by Superintendent Narcisse that we will have a place at the table as these plans are discussed, refined, and formally proposed. This challenge is a community-wide challenge, and it must be solved in ways that address the needs of both public and parochial school students. Continued prayers are sought as we partner with Dr. Narcisse to assess alternatives and work toward viable solutions.
With renewed hope that we will succeed in our efforts, I remain,
Sincerely,
Dr. Pattie Davis
Superintendent
Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Baton Rouge
